Groundbreaking Ceremony

The grounbreaking ceremony for the Regency Residence took place on the 26th of April 2006.

The event was attented by a number of local dignitiaries as well as a few of the local expats from the embassies and other businesses.

The groundbreaking took place once all structures on the site had been destroyed and the digging for the foundations was started.

The ceremony started with a few speeches fromthe developer, construction company as well as officials from the Foreign Investment Office of Mongolia.

The ribon was cut, a tree planted, the ground blessed by the highest lama in Mongolia and a symbolic stone was handed over by the developer to the construction company.

The monks declared it to be an excellent day to be breaking ground and had no doubt that this project would be a great success.
