Is the real estate market booming? |

The real estate market is certainly growing, and currently demand outstrips supply, especially in the luxury sector. The influx of foreign mining workers, and the increased wealth they bring to the Mongolian population, means there are more and more people requiring higher-end accommondation. We would not like to call this growth a 'boom', as that suggests a subsequent 'bust' - it is just the natural progression as Mongolia emerges from its Soviet past into its bright future of resource wealth. In the lower end of the market, demand is similarly high due to the transition from traditional ger dwelling to apartment living - this could be said to have caused a 'boom' as people are paying prices higher than warranted by the quality of the buildings. Mongolian Properties is only involved in the top end of the market, and uses only the highest quality construction materials and techniques.
